The Marron Growers Association of Western Australia now accept payment for membership fees and The Manual for Growers through PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to pay with a credit card, just select Pay with a Card on the PayPal screen and complete the form with your details. You can also pay with your Debit card if you have it linked to your PayPal account. We hope you find this method of payment quicker and easier to use than previous manual methods. MGA Field Day & Trade Show – Saturday 11 June 2022

10:00am Arrival - morning tea Exhibitors open 10:30am Welcome to the Field Day Outline of the day’s events- Andrew Matthews 11:00am General Discussion & Presentations: DPIRD Representatives – Andrew Beer Senior Research Scientist, Freshwater Aquaculture Research and Development Research Directions & Thompsons Flat funding update Aquatic AI Development - Andrew Walker & Michael Storey Last year Aquatic AI signed a $400k funding agreement with AgriFutures Australia, engaged a team of scientists from the University of Western Australia and began growing marron at Shenton Field station. Over the last year they have grown marron from juveniles to market size and removed many of the barriers to building a commercial intensive marron farm. 11.30am Open Discussions Open discussions – MGA whiteboard Member survey handed out 12:00pm Lunch / Industry Networking 1.00pm - Aquafarms Farm Tour Feed mill presentation / Feed production demonstration 2.00pm Hatchery tour 2.30pm Grow out ponds - water treatment 3.00pm Drone demonstration 4.00pm Member only Sundowner (camping available) • Refreshments and food prepared by guest chef
The event is free to members and $50 for non members. RSVP by 4th June 2022 (for catering and logistical purposes) RSVP: secretary@marrongrowers.org
