Hi Dan,
I just joined the MGA in time for the AGM and farm visit to Larry's place. I'm afraid I didn't get to meet everyone that day so I would love to know a bit more about where you are and your marron farm.
My brother in law bought 350 acres and included on it are 26 ponds. So we now have to quickly learn as much as we can about marron farming ! oh, how crazy. We have drained most ponds during winter and thought jeez this is too hard. Then after the meeting we realised how right we were...the ponds were all knee deep with mud and had super6 sheets in them as well as hundreds of tyres. We now are trying to put a plan together in attempt to "fix" the ponds. Needless to say I'm on the lookout for anyone in the group who might like to offer any advice.
Best regards Deb
