The Aquaculture Council of WA would like to invite you to participate in Fish Health Management Master Class.
Excellent fish health and biosecurity management will assist you maximise fish growth, survival and market access. This
course is aimed at improving your biosecurity and fish health management skills.Course Outline. The class will enable
you to update your:

Fish disease knowledge.
•
Fish health management systems to optimize your farming techniques,
•
Disease preparedness and emergency response; and
•
Ensure that you can meet all the regulatory requirements.
Course Presenter
Dr Susan Kueh graduated with a B.V.Sc (Sydney) in 1990, obtained her M.Sc (Aquatic Veterinary Studies) from the
Institute of Aquaculture,University of Stirling,UK in 2001. She has worked as a companion animal veterinarian in
Singapore from 1991-95, and Manager, Aquatic Animal Health Laboratory, AgriFood & Veterinary Authority of Singapore,
where she also acted as national focal disease reporting person for aquatic animal diseases to NACA/OIE from 1997-
2007. Dr Kueh has 16 years of working experience with the freshwater ornamental and marine food fish aquaculture
industry in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam. Her specialty is in the diagnosis, management and control of
fish disease, disease surveillance programmes for early detection and containment purposes, laboratory diagnostic
services and training in aquatic animal health. Dr Kueh currently teaches aquatic animal health at the School of
Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences,Murdoch University. She has run several workshops for technical and managing
staff from diagnostic & research laboratories, universities and industry. Dr Kueh will be supported by Dr Fran Stephens -
Fish Pathologist, Department of Fisheries.
